Where to check a Redland Bay update before you share it

A short guide to finding the responsible source for transport, planning, businesses and events.

In this story
  1. Match the question to the source
  2. Check the date and the boundary
  3. Ask the organiser
  4. Send the record with the tip

Match the question to the source

For a development application, begin with Council’s Development.i and the relevant address or application number. For a major state transport project, use TMR’s project record. A social post may point you to a story, but it is not the decision itself.

Check the date and the boundary

Ask when the information was published and what area it describes. Redland Bay locality, the larger statistical area and Redland City are different geographies. A figure for one should not silently become a figure for another.

Ask the organiser

Event dates and booking details should come from the organiser. A business’s own contact channel is the best place to resolve opening hours or availability.

Send the record with the tip

When you submit a story, include the original link and explain the local effect. That helps us distinguish a current change from an older announcement being circulated again.
